Nowadays, wearing makeup has become trendy and a way to present ourselves more appealing. But let’s be honest, putting on makeup has some drawbacks too. For example, removing makeup from the skin is not more than a nightmare to some people.

Many of them who wear makeup regularly face problems choosing the right remover according to their skin type. Also, commercial removers sometimes make skin drier and cause skin issues. In this article, I will share all those effective recipes of natural makeup removers.

Significance of Makeup Removers

No matter how heavy or light makeup you wear, you need to remove it after a certain period. Why? Our skin cells renew themselves when you sleep. If you leave the makeup, it clogs the pores and eventually causes extensive harm to the skin.

So, you must remove the makeup before sleeping at night. Using water may not always be enough. That is why experts suggest makeup cleaners. If you care about your skin, I recommend you go for the natural one. These have no side effects, and you get a natural glow.

In the upcoming sections, I will tell you the secret recipes for making natural removers and wipes.

Types of natural makeup remover

There are various kinds of makeup removers available in the market. I will discuss 4 main types.

✔ Gentle makeup remover

✔ Oil makeup remover

🔸 Olive oil: Believe me or not, olive oil does work as a makeup remover. This oil is used as the skin healing lotion because it is enriched with healing agents. You can remove your makeups with this. Just take the natural makeup remover olive oil on a cotton and cleanse your skin. This remover will wash the makeup and moisture your skin without causing any acne problem.

🔸 Jojoba oil: You may not know it, but most of the baby products contain jojoba oil because of its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Using jojoba oil makeup remover will reduce the oily effect of your face and give you a matte glow. Take a few drops of this oil on the cotton ball and wipe out your makeups. Trust me, you will not regret it.

🔸 Alcohol-free witch hazel: Many experts suggest using witch hazel makeup remover. This is basically a hydrosol, and for the best result, you have to prepare a recipe.

You can add a 50:50 water and witch hazel in a bowl and prepare a mixture. Or, make a mixture of 3 tablespoons of witch hazel and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Then dip your cotton of face pad in the solution to use it. It does not matter which recipe you follow, as both are equally effective.

🔸 Almond oil: This oil is the best makeup remover. It is enriched with vitamin E and other nutrients, which make the skin glow and fresh. If you do not like the after scent, this is perfect for you. Pour the oil on your fingertips or the cotton and wipe the makeups. I highly recommend replacing chemical cleaners with almond oil makeup remover.

🔸 Rosewater: Who does not love the smell of the rosewater? Many of you may not know, but this is a great makeup remover. Follow the below instructions to make a DIY rose water makeup remover:

To prepare a makeup remover from the rose water, take a cup of this water and put ¼ cup of aloe vera. Then add 2 tablespoons of glycerine and 1 tablespoon of castle soap in it. Stir the mixture, and your cleaner is ready.

Especially this works a great eye makeup remover. A few drops of coconut oil is enough to clean your entire face makeup.
