Skincare Routine For Dry Skin
Dry skins require more nurturing and care. For the best result, I recommend trying different skincare routines for daytime and nighttime. Why? It is because your skin is more exposed to sun rays and outer world pollution during the day time. But at night, this is the time your skin relaxes and heals.
So, here, I will discuss 2 skincare routine steps for your dry skin.
Morning skincare for your dry skin:
1. Wash your face with a cleanser
This is the first thing you need to do after waking up if you want glowing and toned skin. During the day, we usually go out and stay busy with our work. The whole time, our skin stays exposed to sunburns, UV rays, and other pollutants. These can indeed harm our skin.
So, start your day by washing your skin with a gentle cleanser lotion. Make sure the cleanser does not contain any harsh chemicals. Otherwise, your skin will become drier than before. Some cleansers strip out the natural oils from your skin. Avoid buying those cleansing lotions.
For dry skin, the experts suggest cleansers that contain emollients. This element washes all the dead cells and impurities from your face and gives a natural glow.
2. Use toners
Some people use toners as an option, but I personally believe toners can do a lot better for your dry skin. It will take away the leftover impurities from your skin and keep the skin natural. The branded toners can protect your skin from the harm of UV exposures and hold the moisture for a longer time.
Use the toner after washing your skin with a cleanser. You can apply the toner with a cotton ball. Remember, you must use it on a clean face.
3. Apply an antioxidant serum
The serum adds an extra layer of protection to your skin. If you can choose the right serum, you will get certain advantages. For example,
- Vitamin B3 and peptide will increase collagen production. As a result, your skin will look more vibrant.
- Hyaluronic acid will hold moisture for a longer time.
- Vitamin E and ferulic acid will tone your skin.
- Camomile will make your skin glow more than usual.
So, if you want protection from harmful free radicals, use the antioxidant serums. This will also reduce any irritation on your skin.
4. Hydrate your skin
This is the most important step if you have dry skin. You need to use such a moisturizer that will lock the hydration for a longer time. Most experts suggest softs cream lotions that contain vitamin B, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides. If your moisturizer irritates, then switch to another product. To get the best result, apply the cream for 3 minutes with a gentle massage.
5. Apply sun protection cream
Some people may not go beyond step 4. But I suggest you never miss this step, especially when you have to spend most of your time outside. The sunscreen will protect your skin from any UV damage and keep it glowing for the rest of the day. Do not use any sun protection you find in a local store, but go with the one that contains SPF30.
Nighttime skincare routine for dry skin
1. Clean the makeup
After an exhausting day, your skin needs more care than before. You can start by cleaning your skin with a cleanser lotion. If you wear makeup, then use an oily cleanser to wash your skin. This will easily remove the makeup and purify your skin.
2. It is time for exfoliation
The night is the perfect time for your skin to rest. You may know that the dead cells on your skin can hamper the proper nurturing of your face. That is why exfoliating or scrubbing the skin can be a better option. But do not do it more than twice a week.
You can use a commercial scrub or prepare one by using the natural elements. Oatmeals, honey with sugar can be good for your dry skin.
3. Apply toner
Though you are not going outside, applying a toner will still help. This will lock the hydration throughout the night. It will help your skin soothe and calm.
Buy those toners that have niacinamides and Alpha Hydroxy acids. The toners will clean the dead cells, prevent acne, and wash out the pores.
4. Moisturize your dry skin
Using a moisturizer is a must after cleaning your face. Applying the right product will keep your skin hydrated for the whole night and you will get perky skin in the morning. Make sure your night moisturizer has hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid, and vitamin C in it.
5. Use ration serum
People often ask how to treat dry skin on the face. The answer is, do not avoid using the right and expensive products. For the nighttime, you may need a different serum. The ration serum boosts the new cell growth and keeps the skin healthy. This serum works on your dark spots and heals any irritation on your skin.
6. Wear a sleep mask
The masks keep your dry skin hydrated all night. It is not a must to wear a sleep mask. You can go for night creams, and it will work the same.

Keeping your skin fresh and glowing, you have to invest a bit of your energy. In this article, I have pointed out the skincare routine for dry skin. Follow the steps to get a natural and vibrant look.
